Explainable Multimodal Deep Learning for Tuberculosis Diagnosis among Patients with Diabetes Mellitus in Low Resource Settings
REFNo: SIR647ES
Main Objective:
To develop an interpretable hybrid multimodal deep learning model for classification of
Tuberculosis infection in DM population using a combination of chest x-ray images, demographics, clinical and laboratory data.
Specific Objectives
1.To perform exploratory data analysis for both chest x-ray images and clinical data.
2.To build and evaluate deep learning models capable of integrating chest x-ray images and clinical data for classification of latent Tuberculosis in diabetic population.
3.To design a hybrid approach that combines convolutional neural networks and transformers to improve on the diagnosis of latent Tuberculosis based on multimodal learning.
4.To derive interpretable explanations of the model processes to provide transparent insights into diagnostic decisions.
