General objective
To determine the effect and impact of attending camp on adherence to ART and virologic suppression among children and adolescents receiving care at Baylor Uganda COE.
Specific objectives
1. To retrospectively examine potential changes in viral load of ALHIV before, and a year after first attending overnight camp.
2. To compare viral loads of ALHIV who attended overnight camp to those who have never attended overnight camp.
3. To explore experiences and perceptions about overnight camp amongst ALHIV who have attended camp.

Evaluation of the performance of novel molecular point of care diagnostics for SARS-CoV-2

To assess the ease of use of the molecular POC devices being evaluated using a System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire administered to platform’s operators (minimum 3, where possible)., To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of such platforms in detecting SARS-CoV-2 on respiratory specimens, compared with reference standard RTPCR in specific subgroups defined based on disease stage (days since symptoms onset), RTPCR Ct values (as surrogate for viral load). Child and Adolescent Research Moving towards Alternative Interventions.

1.To characterize the functionality of viral reservoir in early treated children who have been on ART for 7 or more years and are currently virally suppressed.
2.To investigate whether the profile of past response to ART and pre-ART characteristics are associated with small or less functional viral reservoirs.
3.To investigate whether there’s persisting immune dysregulation despite viral suppression and whether host genes and immune phenotypes including markers of immunosenescence and exhaustion, are associated with smaller and less functional viral reservoirs.
4.To investigate attitudes and beliefs, perceived social norms, perceived behavioral control, and intentions to participate in future trials that test interventions to achieve remission.

Role of Schistosoma mansoni in development of Environment Enteric Dysfunction in Pre-School aged Children (SEEP) in the Albertine Region, Western Uganda
