SRH AND SGBV NEEDS ASSESSMENT AMONG ADOLESCENTS AND YOUTH IN REFUGEE AND HOST COMMUNITIES IN OBONGI DISTRICT

The main objective of the study is to assess SRH and SGBV knowledge, attitudes, and practices among adolescent girls and boys (ages 13-19) and youths (ages 20-24) as well as stratifying the findings across socio-demographics, assessing service delivery gaps and mapping existing interventions and programs in Palorinya Refugee Settlement and host communities in Obongi to generate evidence for future programming for refugees.
1. To establish the SRH/SGBV knowledge, beliefs, risk perceptions, practices, and experiences among refugee adolescents (ages 13-19) and youths (ages 20-24) in Palorinya Refugee Settlement and host community.
2. To stratify the findings by socio-demographic characteristics and influencing factors to identify potentially underserved and vulnerable populations among refugees in Palorinya Refugee Settlement and host community.
3. To identify sexual reproductive health and sexual and gender-based violence service delivery gaps at the health facility and community levels.
4. To map out initiatives, programs, and lessons learned that are implemented in targeted communities.

1. To determine the prevalence of treated and untreated HIV, and undocumented HIV and ART status among patients with new cancer diagnoses in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
2. To refine estimates of treated and untreated HIV in cancer patients and describe missingness of HIV and ART status.
3. To identify current practices and systems-based barriers and facilitators to providing HIV care at cancer centers, and acceptability and feasibility of integrating HIV care in cancer care settings.
4. To develop a study design and strategy for a multi-country pragmatic effectiveness-implementation trial to test strategies for coordinating ART initiation and maintenance with cancer care at cancer centers.

Evaluating the implementation and clinical outcomes of a mobile health tool to guide management of acute respiratory illnesses in young children

1.To evaluate outcomes of implementation following deployment of the refined Acute Lower Respiratory Illness Treatment Evaluation (ALRITE) mHealth decision support tool in routine clinical practice in two primary care health facilities in Uganda.
2.To further refine the ALRITE user interface, algorithm, and implementation strategy using feedback from objective 1 in order to create a fully functional mHealth application ready for use in primary care facilities in Uganda.
3.To explore clinical and care delivery outcomes, in children aged 1-59 months, before and after ALRITE deployment.
