Evaluation of Supportive Care Guidelines for Epidemics: Implementation Case Study: Filovirus Diseases (FVDs) and Covid-19 guidelines in Uganda.

Main objective:
to understand implementation practices, challenges and experiences of providing clinical management guidelines (CMGs)/ providing supportive care recommendations for patients with VHFs and/or COVID-19 in Uganda.
specific:
1) implementation of CMGs for a selection of high-risk epidemic prone pathogens
2) factors influencing implementation in different settings and contexts
3) perceived impact of available CMGs and supportive care recommendations on research and development for medical countermeasures and on outcomes
4) experiences of key informants who led CMG development and contributed to the evolution of CMGs in epidemics
5) community-level perceptions in any changing quality of care during the evolution of CMGs.
6) any changing essence and meaning to patient journeys during the expansion and implementation of CMGs
