REFNo: HS2354ES

Primary Objectives:
1. To compare the prevalence of and risk factors for malaria infection among individuals with and those without previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in Ethiopia and Uganda 2. To describe the association between previous malaria exposure and risk of SARSCoV-2 infection

Secondary Objectives:
1. To compare the clinical presentation of malaria infection among individuals with and those without previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in Ethiopia and Uganda
2. To describe malaria parasite kinetics among individuals with and those without previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in Uganda only
3. To compare the prevalence of fever among individuals with and those without previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in Ethiopia and Uganda
4. To determine the prevalence of long-term complications of COVID-19 and describe the clinical spectrum of long-term complications of COVID-19 among individuals with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in Ethiopia and Uganda
5. To describe the predictors of and risk factors for long-term complications of COVID-
19 among individuals with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in Ethiopia and Uganda
6. To describe the association between previous malaria exposure and the development of long-term complications of COVID-19 among individuals with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in Ethiopia and Uganda

Tertiary Objectives:
1. To describe health care pathways for the management of fever and malaria among individuals with and those without previous SARS-CoV-2 infection in Ethiopia and
Uganda

REFNo: HS2395ES

• To establish the relationship between serum levels of insulin resistance markers (IGF II and IGF-BP3) with treatment outcomes of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia among women seeking cervical cancer care at Mbarara regional referral hospital (MRRH).,• To establish the relationship between serum levels of Insulin like Growth Factor II (IGF II) and Insulin like Growth Factor II binding protein 3 (IGF-BP3) with grades of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia among women seeking cervical cancer care at Mbarara regional referral hospital (MRRH). ,• To determine the prevalence and risk factors of obesity; and establish its relationship with grades of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia among women seeking cervical cancer care at Mbarara regional referral hospital (MRRH). Obesity will be defined as a body mass index of over 30kg/m2.,• To determine the prevalence and risk factors of dyslipidaemia; and its correlation with grades of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia among women seeking cervical cancer care at Mbarara regional referral hospital (MRRH). Dyslipidaemia will be defined as increased total serum cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein and a reduced serum high density lipoprotein.,To determine the prevalence of selected metabolic syndrome components (dyslipidaemia, obesity and insulin resistance); establish their risk factors and relationship with grades, as well as treatment outcomes of cervical intraepithelial lesions among women seeking cervical cancer care at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital (MRRH). ,
