POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER, APPETITIVE AGGRESSION AND THE ROLE OF NARRATIVE EXPOSURE THERAPY INTERVENTION AMONG SOLDIERS RETIRING FROM THE ARMY IN UGANDA

1. To determine the prevalence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
2. To establish the prevalence of appetitive aggression among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
3. To establish the factors associated with PTSD among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
4. To find out the factors associated with appetitive aggression among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
5. To assess the relationship between post-traumatic stress disorder and appetitive aggression among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
6 To determine the effectiveness of Narrative exposure therapy in the management of PTSD among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
1.5 Hypotheses
1. There is no PTSD among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
2. There is no appetitive aggression among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
3. There is no a relationship between post-traumatic stress disorder and appetitive aggression among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
4. Narrative Exposure Therapy is not helpful in the treatment of PTSD among Ugandan soldiers retiring from active service.
