MECS East Africa Battery-eCooking Field Trial, Uganda
REFNo: SIR105ES
The aims of this study are to examine the technical performance in real-life use and user experience of battery-augmented electric cooking equipment. Specifically, we are aiming to answer the following questions: - How will this technology perform in a real life situation, with real cooks? What technical changes are needed in the future to make this product more attractive to everyday cooks? - How will cooks respond to using the technology? How do they adopt it over time? In addition, we will be studying the following: - Are the devices compatible with traditional cooking practices? Could they encourage households to move towards clean energy stack? How do everyday cooks use the devices? What are their preferences for features of the devices? How can we make the devices more desirable and sustainable? What are gender implications of using the device? - What is the commercial viability of e-cooking (socially, technically, financially viable)? - How do the batteries perform in a real life setting? How much wear does the battery undergo? What are potential impacts on the grid? When, how, and to what extent is the battery power used? - What are health impacts of using the device?

A PHASE III, RANDOMIZED, OPEN-LABEL STUDY EVALUATING THE EFFICACY AND SAFETY OF GIREDESTRANT IN COMBINATION WITH PHESGO VERSUS PHESGO AFTER INDUCTION THERAPY WITH PHESGO-TAXANE IN PATIENTS WITH PREVIOUSLY UNTREATED HER2-POSITIVE, ESTROGEN RECEPTOR-POSITIVE LOCALLY-ADVANCED OR METASTATIC BREAST CANCER (HeredERA)
REFNo: HS2968ES
To identify and/or evaluate biomarkers that are predictive of response to Phesgo and giredestrant (i.e., predictive biomarkers), are early surrogates of efficacy, are associated with progression to a more severe disease state (i.e., prognostic biomarkers), are associated with acquired resistance to Phesgo and giredestrant, are associated with susceptibility to developing adverse events or can lead to improved adverse event monitoring or investigation (i.e., safety biomarkers), can provide evidence of Phesgo and giredestrant activity (i.e., pharmacodynamic biomarkers), or can increase the knowledge and understanding of disease biology and drug safety,To evaluate potential effects of ADAs,To evaluate the immune response to pertuzumab, trastuzumab, and rHuPH20,To evaluate the potential relationships between Phesgo and giredestrant exposure and the safety, efficacy, immunogenicity, or biomarker endpoints.,To characterize the giredestrant, pertuzumab, and trastuzumab PK profile when given in combination,To evaluate the safety of Phesgo plus giredestrant compared with Phesgo from the participant's perspective,To evaluate health utility of participants treated with Phesgo plus giredestrant compared with Phesgo to generate utility scores for use in economic models,To evaluate effects of Phesgo plus giredestrant compared with Phesgo on work productivity and activity,To evaluate the safety of Phesgo plus giredestrant compared with Phesgo,To evaluate the efficacy of Phesgo plus giredestrant compared with Phesgo,

The demand for digital identification amongst small enterprise owners in Uganda
REFNo: SS1836ES
Understand how the provision of UGPass affects business owners, including their likelihood of writing contracts with suppliers and customers.,3.Look at whether uptake and usage of UGPass varies depending on whether: a) contracting is highlighted as a potential benefit of UGPass, or b) sign-up assistance is provided to the enterprise owner.,2. Assess whether willingness to pay for the UGPass digital ID varies depending on whether: a) contracting is highlighted as a potential benefit of UGPass, or b) sign-up assistance is provided to the enterprise owner.,1. Gather data on the willingness of micro, small and medium enterprise owners in Kampala to pay for the new UGPass digital ID.,Informality hinders firm profitability and growth in a variety of ways, including limiting firms to suppliers in their social networks due to issues of trust and fraud. Digital IDs offer potential paths to increasing formality, such as by allowing the verification of identities and the authentication of signed contracts, thus helping businesses to sign contracts with new suppliers with lower prices or a better selection of goods. However, there is no research to date examining the demand for a digital ID and verified authentication services among business owners. ,
