Understanding Immunity following Tdap vaccination in pregnant women living with HIV – B and T cell responses.

Primary Objective
To determine the B and T cell responses following Tdap vaccine given in pregnancy to women living with HIV.
Secondary Objective
1. To determine T and B cell responses at 28 days post-vaccination in TDaP-vaccinated vs TDaP -unvaccinated pregnant women and whether this differs by maternal HIV status.
2. To determine T and B cell responses in cord blood of TDaP -vaccinated vs TDaP -unvaccinated pregnant women and whether this differs by maternal HIV status.
3. To determine T and B cell responses in infants born to TDaP vaccinated vs TDaP -unvaccinated pregnant women 4 weeks after the completion of a series of primary vaccination with 3 doses of whole cell pertussis vaccine, and whether this differs by maternal HIV status.
