Specifically, the study aims to:
i. explore the nature and scope of Pentecostal social ministry, as expressed through higher education sponsorship programs, from the perspective of Christian mission.
ii. examine participants’ perceptions and experiences of how higher educational sponsorship programs influence transformational development outcomes focusing on individual change, restoration of relationships and renewal of belief systems and structures.
iii. analyze the mechanisms and contextual conditions through which the educational sponsorship programs may enable or inhibit transformational development outcomes among participants in Greater Kampala.
iv. identify and recommend ways to enhance current Pentecostal theories of change and maximize the impact of its higher educational initiatives in advancing transformational change.
