To develop tools which may be used by non-clinicians to identify and escalate a deteriorating patient.,To collect de-identified, system level quantitative data for subgroups of patients such as neurotrauma and paediatrics and staffing levels through the patient journey. ,To produce participatory maps of the patient journey throughout the acute care system in Uganda.,To understand what the barriers may be to help-seeking behaviour in the community and escalation of concerns within the hospital.,To understand the current scope, role and contribution non-clinicians play in this system.,Aim of this study is to understand the current role of non-clinicians in the delivery of care of acutely unwell patients who present to the healthcare system in Uganda and the potential for developing this role to improve patient outcomes.,
