Molecular profiling of Epstein-Barr virus genome and expression in endemic Burkitt Lymphoma (EBVL study)
REFNo: HS4198ES
1. The main goal of the study is to examine the molecular architecture of EBV, its expression pattern, and the determinants of viral pathogenesis in endemic Burkitt lymphoma. ,Perform differential gene expression and protein analysis on formalin fixed-paraffin embedded BL tissues using RT- PCR or NanoString and analyse the data for: i) differentially expressed genes and proteins ii) gene and protein expression levels iii) correlation with tumour stage and viral strains ,Perform whole genome sequencing of EBV from clinical samples (ctDNA for eBL and plasma for healthy controls) and analyse data for: i) viral strains and co-infection ii) Mutations (SNVs, Indels, and structural variants) and compare frequencies iii) mutational signatures iv) viral population structure -phylogenetics and decomposition matrices to infer evolutionary relatedness with publicly available strains. ,
