HIV treatment outcomes and predictors of virological failure among HIV infected
children aged <18years starting second-line and third-line ART in Africa, Europe and Thailand

The study has four main objectives
To evaluate medium-term virologic, immunologic and safety outcomes among HIV-infected children starting dolutegravir (DTG)-based second-line ART compared with boosted protease inhibitor (bPI)-based ART at 96 and 144 weeks.
To identify predictors and incidence of virologic failure among HIV-infected children on DTG-based versus bPI-based second-line ART
To determine the effectiveness of third-line ART regimens and describe immunological response, clinical outcomes and survival among HIV-infected children switched to third-line ART in Uganda.
To explore the lived experiences and support needs of children/adolescents on second- and third-line ART, their caregivers, and healthcare providers.
