Overall Objective: to create an enabling environment for climate change defenders from the ethnic minorities and indigenous peoples to play their role in pushing for responsive climate actions, hold governments accountable and protection of communities adversely affected by climate change impacts in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda
Specific Objectives: a) Generate knowledge by collecting evidence that leads to a deeper understanding of key stakeholders of the challenges faced by environmental activists from the ethnic and indigenous minorities and traditional knowledge as climate change mitigation strategies.
b) Equip environmental activists from MIPs with knowledge/ideas on how to develop successful strategies to mitigate the challenges they face as part of their work and how to meaningfully blend gender and social inclusion in their work.
c) Promote greater collaboration, cross exchange and learning between duty bearers, civil society movements for inclusive decision-making processes.

Vaginalis and Gardnerella) infections in men and women attending outpatient clinics in Kampala using molecular diagnostic tests (Xpert) and other point of care tests,To assess the feasibility and reliability of participant self-collection for POC CT/NG tests (Xpert and Binx io CT/NG tests) and evaluate accuracy of the Binx io CT/NG Test against clinician provider and the Laboratory gold standard among persons presenting with genital discharge attending outpatient clinics in Kampala metropolitan .,To describe the perceptions and practices of persons regarding self-collection and self-testing for STD, and STD partner notification among persons with genital discharge attending outpatient STD clinics in Kampala, Uganda.,To evaluate the use of self-collection and self-testing of swabs in increasing the proportion of individuals and partners that get tested and treated for STI among persons presenting with genital discharge attending outpatient clinics in Kampala, Uganda. ,Our overall goal is to evaluate the effect of an intervention that includes; self-collection and partner notification on the proportion of partners of persons with vaginal and urethral discharge who return to the clinic for partner follow up and treatment at outpatient clinics in Kampala district and on management of NG and CT in this population.,
