Monitoring of Ticks, Acaricide Resistance & Tickborne Pathogens in Uganda: Piloting a digital mapping tool and elucidating of resistance mechanisms in Rhipicephalus ticks

1. To pilot the development of an online mapping the distribution of ticks, TAR and TBD while leveraging the MoTAR laboratory network data to continuously provide real time epi-maps for MAAIF through the National Food and Agricultural Statistical Information System (NFASS) to inform policy & national interventions. The ongoing study will also elucidate acaricide resistance mechanisms against organophosphates (OP) and synthetic pyrethroids (SP) while assessing microbiome composition of both acaricide resistant and susceptible Rhipicephalus ticks.
